Biatain Silicone Ag
Biatain Silicone Ag
Superior Absorption for infected wounds.
Biatain Ag foam dressings combine superior exudate management with sustained antimicrobial activity for improved patient outcomes. - Exudating wounds where there is a risk of infection
- Leg/Vascular ulcers
- Pressure ulcers
- Diabetic foot ulcers
- Second degree burns
- Donor sites
- Postoperative wounds
- Skin abrasions with delayed healing due to bacteria
- Suitable for use in combination with compression therapy
Ionic silver is evenly distributed in the Biatain Ag foam. In the presence of exudate, there is a sustained release of silver into the wound bed throughout the wear time of the dressing. Silver is continuously released for up to 7 days in proportion to the level of exudate within the wound. This ensures an effective control of the local infection which is maintained during the entire wear time.
